Under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr Prokopios Pavlopoulos and the Patronage of the European Parliament the EU-Arab World Summit will be hosted for the third consecutive year in Athens, on October 29 & 30, 2018 at the Megaron, The Athens Concert Hall. The 3rd EU-Arab World Summit is fully supported by the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic and the Hellenic Government and will provide the necessary platform and tools for enhanced cooperation, the key to our prosperity and security.
EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network is a proud Programming Partner of the high-level event.
Within the framework of this collaboration, the Network is organising a top-line discussion session which will take place the 1st day of the Summit and is entitled “Cooperation with the Arab States on Climate Change and Energy Transition”. The session will be chaired by the Director of the Network, Mr Frank Wouters while high-level domain experts have confirmed their participation, namely Mr Gerassimos Thomas, Deputy Director General, Energy, European Commission, Mr Paul van Son, Chairman MENA & Turkey, RWE Innogy, and Mr Andreas A. Papandreou, Professor of Environmental Economics, University of Athens.
