Hydrogen can be made from sunshine and water in the Gulf. Land is abundant and cheap and in recent years the Gulf countries have demonstrated the lowest cost solar energy on the planet. The production of green hydrogen for local and overseas markets has become competitive and could become a true replacement for hydrocarbons in the future.
