On 5th of July 2020, the Energy Department of the Secretariat General of the GCC organised the digital workshop "The Future of the GCC Renewable and New Energy and the Impact of the Corona Pandemic" with the participation of representatives of the GCC ministries of Electricity and Energy, and experts of the GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA). Frank Wouters, Director, EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network was invited to address the digital workshop, in which he analysed the energy transition in times of COVID 19.
