The EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network and the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) are organising the webinar “Open Call for Proposals for Renewable Energy Technology Development in Saudi Arabia”. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday 8 September 2020, at 13.00 KSA time - 14.00 UAE time - 13.00 CET with duration of 60 minutes.

The focus of the webinar will be the Round 3 programs launched by the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA.CARE). These programs are part of the KA.CARE’s efforts to localize renewable energy technologies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This presentation will provide an introduction to KA.CARE and the Technology Localization and Commercialization (TLC) Department, including an overview of each of the four TLC programs, details on the level of funding available, information about who can apply, and explanation of the expected outcome of each program. Technology topic areas of interest include Building Integrated Renewable Energy SystemsSolar Thermal ApplicationsRenewable Energy in Water ManagementRenewable Technologies for Grid ManagementShallow Geothermal ApplicationsSolar Cooling and Cold Storage, Green HydrogenWaste to Energy, and other promising renewable energy technologies. The webinar will provide a timeline of submission deadlines with next steps for organizations to apply for funding.
