Its mission is to train highly qualified people, in an interdisciplinary perspective and a context of excellence, capable of adapting to change, to promote research, innovation and entrepreneurship and lifelong learning, being a driving force for regional development from a global perspective in the following areas: language sciences, legal sciences, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, management and economics, and mathematics. ESTG has long-established Research and Development (R&D) strengths in each of those areas. The School is home to a number of highly sophisticated experimental research and teaching facilities, including a R&D Center with several research offices. These laboratories are designed to serve academic staff and students, as well as researchers, working on both applied and fundamental research projects, along with other universities, industry, foreign institutions, and other government laboratories. Our lecturers and researchers are, indeed, involved in different R&D projects at the national, European and international contexts, strengthening partnerships with other education and research institutions.
