The Network informs its members/ friends about Oman's 1st large Scale Wind Resource Assessment
The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC ("the OPWP"), a member of Nama Group, is responsible for procuring new capacity for power and water and for purchasing and selling the output in the Sultanate of Oman. This activity is taken in accordance with the requirements of the law for the regulation and privatization of the electricity and related water sector promulgated by Royal Decree 78/2004 as amended ("the Sector Law") and the OPWP license.
As part of the Sultanate's initiatives in diversifying the energy mix through the use of renewables in its energy supply, OPWP seeks proposals from Interested Bidders to carry out a Wind Resource Assessment Campaign. This Campaign will include the provision of equipment/sensors, installation, O&M, and data validation services to cover multiple sites within the Sultanate, which will be used to support the future development of Wind Power Projects in the Sultanate of Oman.
The tender documents will be available for purchase from the offices of OPWP effective from 15 October 2017 to 29 October 2017. The offices are located on the 5th Floor, Building 5, Muscat Grand Mall, Tilal Complex (Office), Al Khuwair Al Janubiyyah, Muscat. Tender documents are available for collection between the hours of 08.30 to 15.00 from Sunday to Thursday.
